SUB-GROUP CONSIDERS SPENDING PRIORITIES

A Sub-Group of the Programme for Government Committee in the Transitional Assembly will meet on Thursday 4 January 2007 to take evidence on spending priorities that should feature in the current Comprehensive Spending Review to be included in a future Programme for Government for Northern Ireland. The meeting will be held in public and will take place in the Room 152, Parliament Buildings.

The Sub-Group, which has been set up to consider the Comprehensive Spending Review and Programme for Government, Rates Charges and Water Reform, will hear evidence from:

10.30 am Economic Research Institute Northern Ireland
11.30 am (approx) Northern Ireland Council for Voluntary Action
1.30 pm Confederation of British Industry
2.30 pm (approx) Department of Finance and Personnel

The sub-group on the Comprehensive Spending Review is scheduled to report by 18 January 2007.
