Performance
Proposed: That
this Assembly welcomes the recent announcement of a continuing decline in the
rate of unemployment; and calls on the Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment
and all Ministers whose departments have an impact on economic performance to
continue to develop policies which promote a competitive, dynamic and sustainable
economy.

Gambling
Proposed: That
this Assembly supports changes to the Betting, Gaming, Lotteries and Amusements
(Northern Ireland) Order 1985 and any other relevant statutory provisions to
legalise Sunday on-course track betting in Northern Ireland and calls upon the
Minister for Social Development to bring forward proposals to this effect.

Payment
Proposed: That
this Assembly supports the call for retainer payment to be made for term time
only workers and commends the proposal of the Education Committee for the provision
of funds from the Education budget to pay the salary cost incurred.
