First Stage - Audit and Accountability Bill

A Bill to provide for access by the Comptroller and Auditor General to information for the purposes of audits and examinations; to transfer to the Comptroller and Auditor General responsibility for the audit of certain public bodies; to provide for the re-organisation of the administration of local government audit; to confer additional functions on the audit committee of the Assembly in relation to the appointment of the accounting officer and the auditor of the Northern Ireland Audit Office; and for connected purposes.
