1. Deputy Chairman's Opening Remarks

The Deputy Chairman advised members that Mrs Courtney would be absent from Committee meetings for a time, as she had been involved in an accident at the weekend.

Agreed: On behalf of the Committee, the Deputy Chairman will write to extend best wishes to Mrs Courtney for a full and speedy recovery.

2. Consideration of Draft Report on the Delivery of Cancer Services in Northern Ireland

The Committee deliberated.

Mr Kelly left the meeting at 11:28 am.

Agreed: The Committee will conclude its consideration of the first draft Report at tomorrow's meeting. The Clerk will prepare a final draft, incorporating a number of issues raised by members, which will be tabled for consideration at next week's meeting.

3. Date and Time of the Next Meeting

The next meeting will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, 06 February 2002 in Room 135, Parliament Buildings.

The meeting ended at 12:00 pm.
