COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION
NORTHERN IRELAND BRANCH

There will be a meeting of the Northern Ireland Assembly Branch of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association on 19 November 2001 at 4.00 pm in the End Reading Room of the Library. All Members are invited to attend.

PRESS BAR - EXTENSION OF HOURS

Members may wish to note that the Commission has agreed to an extension of hours for the Press Bar as a pilot exercise for one month from 5 November.

The Press Bar is currently open to all pass holders including MLAs, staff and the Press, from 11.30 am to 7.00 pm or, on Plenary Sitting days, until 30 minutes after the House rises, whichever is later. From 5 November the Press Bar will open at 9.00 am for tea, coffee and scones until 11.30 am, after which the normal lunch menu from the Basement Restaurant will be available. Tea, coffee and tray bakes will also be available in the afternoon. These arrangements will be reviewed after one month.

The Press Bar is located in the Basement, opposite Room B9 and can be accessed from the spiral staircase on the west side of the Great Hall, or by exiting the lift at the south side of the building and turning right. The Press Bar is on the right.
