4 JULY 2002 APN 32/01 ALL PARTY NOTICES COMMITTEE REPORTS The Fourth Report of the Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment, 'Report on the Limited Liability Partnerships Bill (NIA Bill 9/01)' (4/01/R) has been tabled in the Business Office and is available to Assembly Members for consultation only. The report is not subject to embargo. The Fifth Report of the Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment, 'Report on Open-Ended Investment Companies Bill (NIA Bill 10/01)' (5/01/R) has been tabled in the Business Office and is available to Assembly Members for consultation only. The report is not subject to embargo. WEDDING RECEPTIONS AT PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS Members are reminded that only current and past Assembly Members and current Secretariat staff may apply to the Events Office to hold a wedding reception in Parliament Buildings on their own behalf or on behalf of an immediate relative. For the purpose of the regulations relating to functions in Parliament Buildings 'immediate relative' is defined as: mother, father, sister, brother, daughter and son. Wedding receptions may only be held on Saturdays. WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHS The Assembly Commission has determined that wedding photographs in the Great Hall of Parliament Buildings will be facilitated on the same basis as for other functions. This means that any current or past Member, or current Secretariat staff member planning wedding photographs should make application to the Events Office as described in the Notes for Guidance for Functions in Parliament Buildings, a copy of which is available on AssISt in the Office of the Keeper page. The criteria applied will be similar to that for wedding receptions as outlined above. FIRE EVACUATIONS IN PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS 1. The attention of Members and support staff is drawn to the fact that during the practice fire evacuation on 26 April the time taken to evacuate the building was considered by the Fire Officer to be very slow. 2. Although the evacuation on 25 June was rather better, there is still room for improvement, so this is an opportune time to remind Members and support staff of the need to treat all fire evacuations seriously. 3. On hearing the alarm Assembly Members and staff must commence evacuation immediately to the nearest exit (unless advised otherwise by the public address system). You must not stop or return to your desk for personal belongings. When you hear the alarm always assume it is for real - do not wait for an announcement.
