MEN'S HEALTH ISSUES - TUESDAY 12 JUNE 2001

The Committee for Health, Social Services and Public Safety is hosting an event on Tuesday 12 June 2001 at 12.00 noon in the Long Gallery. The event aims to highlight men's health issues and the need to encourage men to consider their health.

Speakers at the event will include Dr Brian Gaffney, Chief Executive of the Health Promotion Agency; Margaret Graham and Linda Thompson of the H.Y.P.E. Project; Dr Ian Banks, Chairman of the Men's Health Forum; and Alan George of Action Cancer.

Staff from Health Action Zones and Health Promotion Departments have been invited to attend the event, along with representatives from voluntary and community organisations. MLAs, their support workers and Assembly staff are also invited. A light buffet lunch will be provided.
