APN 24/00 ALL PARTY NOTICES 3 May 2001 CHILDCARE ALLOWANCE SCHEME The Assembly Commission agreed at its meeting on 3 April 2001 that the Childcare Allowance Scheme should continue to operate for MLAs and Secretariat staff. The Commission decided, however, that the following changes should be made to the existing scheme: - the upper age limit for children to be reduced from 14 to 12; and MLAs who wish to apply for the allowance under the revised terms and conditions, which come into effect from Friday 1 June 2001, should forward their applications to the Personnel Office as soon as possible. Any queries regarding the allowance should be addressed to Gail Anderson, Room 410 (telephone [028 905] 21238). RECORDINGS OF PLENARY SESSIONS AND COMMITTEE MEETINGS As from Tuesday 8 May, applications for video recordings of Plenary sessions and Committee meetings should be made to the Information Office, Room B2 (telephone [028 905] 21396), using a form available from either the Information Office or AssISt (the Assembly Intranet). The completed form should be sent to the Information Office (fax is acceptable). Further information is available on AssISt under Services and Online Forms. |
