ALL PARTY NOTICES 29 March 2001 THE ASSEMBLY MEMBERS' PENSION SCHEME (NI) 2000 Participating Members of the above Scheme will be aware of the facility which is available to transfer any pension rights accrued in former employer or personal pension schemes to the Assembly Members' Pension Scheme (NI) 2000. Members are reminded that this facility only allows for such transfers to be made within 1 year of the Assembly Members' Pension Scheme coming into effect. Any applications for transfer in of previous pension rights must be received in the Assembly Personnel Office by no later than 12 May 2001. Request forms for transfer are available from the Personnel Office, Room 410, Parliament Buildings or by ringing extension 21626. AD HOC COMMITTEE - PROCEEDS OF CRIME BILL MEMBERSHIP The membership of the Ad Hoc Committee will be as follows: A Maginness (Chairperson) The Clerk of the Committee will be Mr Tony Logue, Room 371, Parliament Buildings, Stormont (Tel: 90 (5) 21263). COMMONWEALTH PARLIAMENTARY ASSOCIATION - At a recent meeting of the Northern Ireland Assembly Branch it was agreed that membership should be available to all Assembly Members. Those wishing to join and receive regular copies of The Parliamentarian Journal should complete the appropriate forms enclosed in the business bundle. No fees are payable in respect of membership. Members who have previously completed application forms should only supply details in relation to receiving The Parliamentarian Journal. ALL completed forms are to be returned to John Ross, Business Office, Room 33, Parliament Buildings, Belfast (90 5) 21920. EAGLES CONCERT - TICKETS Members are advised that a concert by The Eagles will be held in Stormont Estate on the evening of Friday 29 June 2001. A limited number of seated (£45) and standing (£35) tickets are available for purchase on a first come, first served basis from the Events Co-ordination Office, Room B2, (Tel: 90 (5) 21948 or 90 (5) 21123). A limit of 6 seated tickets per person will apply. Tickets will be held for 5 days pending receipt of payment. If the 5 days elapse without payment the tickets become available for booking again. Payment will be by cash or cheque only. PARLIAMENT BUILDINGS - ACCESS OVER THE EASTER PERIOD The following arrangements will apply for the period 9 April to 20 April 2001 inclusive. Arrangements necessary to facilitate events and functions during the period will be applied. ACCESS TO THE BUILDING - West Door In addition arrangements can be made for access, at any time, at the 'slope' entrance at the North side of the building. AGREED ARRANGEMENTS FOR EASTER RECESS 1. PUBLIC HOLIDAYS 16 & 17 April 2001 2. Saturday 14 April and Sunday 15 April 2001 CATERING ARRANGEMENTS - Basement Restaurant 08.00 - 17.00 - Members' Coffee Lounge 09.00 - 17.00 These arrangements will be monitored throughout the recess period and, according to demand, may be adjusted. NORTHERN IRELAND CYCLING FEDERATION To facilitate the above event, security entrance gates will be closed during the evening of 13 April 2001 as follows:- Prince of Wales Avenue: Close 5.00 pm Stoney Road will remain open until 8.30 pm (approx) for all traffic entering/exiting the Estate. Members and staff should exercise caution driving through the Estate, as it is expected that cyclists and others will be using the Estate for a large part of the afternoon prior to the time trials starting at 6.00 pm. The course comprises the Prince of Wales Avenue up to and around Carson's Statue, finishing on the lower plateau in front of Parliament Buildings. Stormont Estate staff will be available to give guidance for the guidance of the trials. |
