ALL PARTY NOTICE THE ROYAL COMMONWEALTH SOCIETY Members are reminded that, to coincide with Commonwealth Day on 12 March, there will be an exhibition by the Royal Commonwealth Society from 9 to 16 March in the exhibition area on the first floor at the East Wing of Parliament Buildings. Mr Stuart Mole, Director General of the Commonwealth Society, will give a lecture at 12 noon on 16 March in the Long Gallery, followed by a buffet lunch. Invitations to this event have been issued. Members are asked to respond to the Speaker's Office. BT's 'IN CONTACT SERVICE'Sir John Gorman invites all MLAs to a presentation from BT. The 'In Contact Service' from BT is aimed at offering people without telephones, who are mainly within low income groups, an affordable lifeline enabling friends and relatives to contact the customer at home. The presentation will take place in the Long Gallery on Wednesday 14 March 2001 from 12.00 noon to 2.00 pm. ASSEMBLY WEBSITEMembers should be aware that the Assembly website (archive.niassembly.gov.uk) will be undergoing changes next week to improve navigation of the site and enhance search facilities. This work will be ongoing during the weekend but should not result in any inconvenience to users. The Home Page has also been redesigned to include a view of the Assembly Chamber. WEEKLY INFORMATION BULLETINThe next edition of the Weekly Information Bulletin (Saturday, March 10) will include several changes in format which have been agreed with the Business Committee. The full membership of Assembly Committees will now only appear in the first edition of each month and other important information has been moved to the front of the Bulletin. |
