ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE FOR SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT VISITS HOMELESSNESS PROJECTS IN NORTH WEST

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Social Development is holding a public meeting at The Millennium Forum, Newmarket Street, Derry/Londonderry, BT48 6EB, at 11.00am on Thursday, 10 December 2009 and will then visit Damien House and Shepherd’s View homelessness projects.

BACKGROUND

This Assembly Committee meeting is open to the public. It will consider issues relating to the funding of Community Development, and the Department of Social Development’s proposed gambling review.

The Committee will also visit homelessness projects in the area as part of its work on the Housing Amendment Bill.

There will be opportunities for interviews with Simon Hamilton MLA, Chairperson of the Committee.
