1. Apologies

2. Draft Minutes of Meeting held on 26 April 2010
Agreed : The minutes were agreed for publication on the Assembly’s website.
3. Committee event at the Balmoral Show 2010
12.17pm Mr Robinson joined the meeting.
Members noted the finalised arrangements for the Committee event at the Balmoral Show on 12 May 2010 and indicated their intention to attend the event.
4. Consideration of the first draft of the Committee’s report on the Roads (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill
Agreed: The Committee considered the first draft of its report to the Assembly on the Roads (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill and agreed to formally scrutinise the clauses of the Bill at the Committee meeting on 19 May 2010. The Committee also agreed to consider a revised report at its meeting on 26 May 2010.
12.35pm The Committee moved to public session.
5. Any Other Business
Agreed: Members considered a revised forward work programme for the Committee and agreed that the revised work programme should be published on the Assembly website.
Agreed: Members noted arrangements for the joint visit, with the Social Development Committee, to the Belfast Streets Ahead project on 20 May 2010 and agreed to consider a draft joint press release on the visit at the Committee meeting on 19 May 2010.
Members noted correspondence from the Examiner of Statutory Rules and received a briefing from Departmental officials, Garry McKenna and Alan Heron, in relation to the following statutory rule :
2010/132 The Train Driving Licences and Certificates Regulations ( Northern Ireland) 2010.
Agreed: The Committee agreed to consider amending regulations in relation to this statutory rule when laid in the Assembly Business Office. The Committee also agreed to write to the Department for Regional Development indicating its decision.
The Committee noted an invitation from the Community Transport Association (CTA) to attend its Annual Members Meeting on 16 June 2010.
6. Date, Time and Place of Next Meeting
The next meeting will be held on Wednesday, 19 May 2010 at 10.30 am in Room 21, Parliament Buildings.
The Deputy Chairperson adjourned the meeting at 12.54pm.
