3. Purpose of the meeting
The exceptional meeting had been called by the Chairperson of the Committee as a result of feedback from the Executive that the motion to introduce time limits on the responses from Ministers during Question Time would not be agreed. Members discussed the continuing problems with Question Time and all were keen to keep the issue under active consideration and to look at it again in September.
Agreed – following discussion members agreed unanimously that the Chairperson should not move the motion on 29 June and that he and the Deputy Chairperson should meet the Speaker and the First Minister and deputy First Minister to discuss their proposals for making Question Time more effective and efficient.
3. Any Other business.
None
4. Date, time and place of next meeting.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday 14 September 2010 at 2.00 pm in Room 144 Parliament Buildings.
The Chairperson adjourned the meeting at 4.12 pm.
