Journal of Proceedings

The Journal is a consolidated volume containing the Minutes of Proceedings, representing the formal record of the business done and decisions taken by the Assembly.

In addition to the formal daily record, the Minutes of Proceedings (MoPs) for each sitting include a record of papers and publications laid before (or presented to) the Assembly since the previous sitting. The MoPs also contain records detailing the progress of legislation within the Assembly and of Westminster legislation relating to Northern Ireland. This is accompanied by a list of 'No-day Named' motions (tabled by Members but for which no date for debate has been set), all of which are current at the date of the sitting.

For the purposes of the Journal of Proceedings, the records of legislation and lists of motions are consolidated into individual lists within each Assembly session (see links below).
