2.1 Ministerial Statement - British Irish Council Energy Ministers Meeting

The Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Mrs Arlene Foster, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the British Irish Council Energy Ministers meeting, held in London on 22 March 2010, following which she replied to questions.

2.2 Second Stage - Unsolicited Services (Trade and Business Directories) Bill (NIA 12/09)

The Minister of Enterprise, Trade and Investment, Mrs Arlene Foster, moved the Second Stage of the Unsolicited Services (Trade and Business Directories) Bill (NIA 12/09).

Debate ensued.

2.3 Second Stage - Welfare Reform Bill (NIA 13/09)

The Minister for Social Development, Ms Margaret Ritchie, moved the Second Stage of the Welfare Reform Bill (NIA 13/09).

2.4 Motion - Revised Programme of Expenditure Proposals for 2010-11

Proposed:

That this Assembly approves the revised programme of expenditure proposals for 2010-11 as set out in the Budget laid before the Assembly on 13 April 2010.

5.1 Motion - ‘Get on Board’ Programme

Proposed:

That this Assembly commends the Minister for Employment and Learning for providing funding for the ‘Get on Board’ programme which aims to increase and diversify participation in, and access to, public appointments; calls on the Minister to ask all Departments with responsibility for the delivery of the public appointments process to nominate a specific contact to engage with the programme’s delivery; and further calls on the Minister to request that his Executive colleagues arrange with their Non-Departmental Public Bodies and Agencies for programme participants to be able to attend meetings to gain a greater insight into their workings.
