2.1 Motion - Suspension of Standing Orders

Proposed:

That Standing Orders 10(2) to 10(4) be suspended for 8 March 2010.

3. Executive Committee Business

3.1 Statement - North-South Ministerial Council Meeting in Special EU Programmes Sectoral Format

The Minister of Finance and Personnel, Mr Sammy Wilson, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the North-South Ministerial Council meeting in Special EU Programmes Sectoral format, held on 17 February 2010, following which he replied to questions.

3.2 Statement - Consultation Exercise on a Draft Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill

The Minister of the Environment, Mr Edwin Poots, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the consultation exercise on a draft Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill, following which he replied to questions.

4. Committee Business

4.1 Motion - Statutory Committee Membership

Proposed:

That Mr PJ Bradley replace Mr Patsy McGlone as a member of the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development.

4.2 Motion - Savills Report

Proposed:

That this Assembly notes the findings of the Savills Report; calls on the Minister for Social Development to ensure equity in the delivery of new social housing and the maintenance of existing Housing Executive stock; and further calls on the Minister to limit the reduction in funding for Housing Executive maintenance contractors, in view of the adverse economic situation.

6.1 Second Stage - Local Government (Disqualification) (Amendment) Bill (NIA 7/09)

Ms Dawn Purvis moved that the Second Stage of the Local Government (Disqualification) (Amendment) Bill (NIA 7/09) be agreed.

6.2 Motion - Farm Modernisation Programme

Proposed:

That this Assembly calls on the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development to bring forward fair and practical criteria for implementation of tranche two of the Farm Modernisation Programme.

6.3 Amendment 1

Proposed:

leave out all after ‘Development’ and insert:

‘to re-engage immediately in discussions with the Ulster Farmers’ Union and the Northern Ireland Agricultural Producers' Association with a view to bringing forward fair and practical criteria for implementation of tranche two of the Farm Modernisation Programme.’

6.4 Amendment 2
