2. Speaker’s Business

The Speaker delivered a ruling on standards of debate arising out of the Plenary session on Monday 16 November 2009.

3. Executive Committee Business

3.1 Statement - Swine Flu

The Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, Mr Michael McGimpsey, made a statement to the Assembly regarding Swine Flu, following which he replied to questions.

3.2 Statement - Independent Investigation into the Flooding of Broadway Underpass

The Minister for Regional Development, Mr Conor Murphy, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the independent investigation into the flooding of the Broadway underpass, following which he replied to questions.

3.3 Final Stage - Financial Provisions Bill (NIA 6/08)

The Minister of Finance and Personnel, Mr Sammy Wilson, moved that the Final Stage of the Financial Provisions Bill do now pass.

4. Committee Business

4.1 Motion - Report on the Inquiry into the Funding of the Arts in Northern Ireland

Proposed:That this Assembly approves the report of the Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure on its inquiry into the funding of the arts in Northern Ireland.

5. Private Members’ Business

5.1 Motion - Childcare Vouchers

Proposed:That this Assembly expresses its concern at the proposed axing of the childcare vouchers scheme; recognises that the loss of these vouchers could have a significant detrimental impact on working parents in Northern Ireland; supports the Employers for Childcare campaign; and calls on the Prime Minister to continue this scheme and to give consideration to the enhancement of Government support for working parents.
