2.1 Statement - Swine Flu
The Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety, Mr Michael McGimpsey, made a statement to the Assembly regarding Swine flu, following which he replied to questions.
2.2 Statement - North-South Ministerial Council Language Body Sectoral Format Meeting
The Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Mr Nelson McCausland, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the North-South Ministerial Council Language Body Sectoral format meeting, held on 9 July 2009, following which he replied to questions.
2.3 Statement - North-South Ministerial Council Inland Waterways Sectoral Format Meeting
The Minister of Culture, Arts and Leisure, Mr Nelson McCausland, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the North-South Ministerial Council Inland Waterways Sectoral format meeting, held on 9 July 2009, following which he replied to questions.
2.4 Second Stage - Forestry Bill (NIA 11/08)
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Ms Michelle Gildernew, moved that the Second Stage of the Forestry Bill (NIA 11/08) be agreed.
Debate ensued.

5. Private Members’ Business
5.1 Motion - Home Improvement Grants
Proposed: That this Assembly urges the Minister for Social Development to explain why the Housing Executive has suspended the payment of home improvement grants, despite the Department for Social Development being awarded an extra £20m in the June monitoring round for housing; and further calls on the Minister to remove the suspension of these grants, which are vital to meeting the Decent Homes Standards to enable essential maintenance and home improvements work to be carried out.
