2.1 The Minister for Social Development, Ms Margaret Ritchie, moved that the Second Stage of the Housing (Amendment) Bill (NIA 7/08) be agreed.

2.2 Consideration Stage - Budget (No. 2) Bill (NIA 8/08)

The Minister of Finance and Personnel, Mr Nigel Dodds, moved that the Consideration Stage of the Budget (No. 2) Bill be agreed.

No amendments were tabled to the Bill.

3.1 Motion - Report on the Northern Ireland Assembly Code of Conduct and the Guide to the Rules Relating to the Conduct of Members

Proposed: That this Assembly approves the Report of the Committee on Standards and Privileges (N IA 136/08-09), and agrees the Northern Ireland Assembly Code of Conduct and the Guide to the Rules Relating to the Conduct of Members, included at Annex A of that Report.

3.2 Motion - Take Note Debate - Impact of the Economic Downturn on Businesses in Northern Ireland

Proposed: That this Assembly takes note of the issues raised by the Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment’s scrutiny of the economic downturn, particularly the impact of the downturn on business and the local economy and the ideas submitted by the business sector on how Government can assist business and the economy during this time.
