2.1 Motion - Accelerated passage Financial Assistance Bill
Proposed: That the Financial Assistance Bill proceed under the accelerated passage procedure.

The Question being put, the Motion was carried with cross-community support nemine contradicente.
2.2 Second Stage - Financial Assistance Bill (NIA 4/08)
The First Minister, Rt Hon Peter Robinson, moved that the Second Stage of the Financial Assistance Bill be agreed.
Debate ensued.
The sitting was suspended at 12.55 pm.
The sitting resumed at 2.00 pm, with the Speaker in the chair.
Debate resumed on the Second Stage of Bill.
Bill (NIA 4/08) passed Second Stage.
2.3 Consideration Stage - Building Regulations (Amendment) Bill (NIA 11/07)
The Minister of Finance and Personnel, Mr Nigel Dodds, moved that the Consideration Stage of the Building Regulations (Amendment) Bill be agreed.
Five amendments were tabled to the Bill.

After debate Amendment 1 to Clause 2 was made without division.

3. Private Members’ Business
3.1 Motion - Rural School Closures
Proposed: That this Assembly calls on the Minister of Education to halt rural school closures, other than those where agreement has been reached locally, until the Sustainable School policy is agreed and implemented; and to ensure that rural proofing of that policy is underpinned with school viability criteria that are appropriate for schools serving rural communities.
