2.1 Right of Reply
The Speaker delivered a ruling on the application of Standing Orders 34(4) and 35(4) where a notice to oppose the Question that a clause stand part of a Bill has been published on the Marshalled List.
3. Executive Committee Business
3.1 Statement – June Monitoring Outcome 2007-2008
The Rt Hon Peter Robinson, Minister of Finance and Personnel, made a statement to the Assembly on the outcome of the June monitoring of public expenditure 2007-2008, following which he replied to questions.
3.2 Final Stage – Budget Bill (NIA 3/07)
The Rt Hon Peter Robinson, Minister of Finance and Personnel, moved that the Final Stage of the Budget Bill (NIA Bill 3/07) be agreed.
Debate ensued.
NIA Bill 3/07 passed Final Stage with cross-community support nemine contradicente.
3.3 Final Stage – Welfare Reform Bill (NIA 1/07)
Ms Margaret Ritchie, Minister for Social Development, moved that the Final Stage of the Welfare Reform Bill (NIA Bill 1/07) be agreed.
Debate ensued.
NIA Bill 1/07 passed Final Stage.
4. Private Members’ Business
4.1 Motion – Carers
Proposed: That this Assembly calls upon the Minister of Health, Social Services and Public Safety to ensure that all carers, formal and informal, can access services and support to maintain their own health and well-being, to recognise financially the vital role they play and ensure uptake of all benefit entitlements.
