MINISTERS AND THEIR DEPARTMENTS
On the 18 January 1999 the Northern Ireland Assembly approved a report from the First Minister and the Deputy First Minister which recommended the creation of ten Departments together with an Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister to take over the functions of the then six Northern Ireland Departments. These Departments and their Ministers are as follows:
