AUTISM BILL

PUBLIC NOTICE - CALL FOR EVIDENCE

 

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Health, Social Services and Public Safety is beginning the Committee Stage of the above Bill.

The purpose of the Bill is to enhance the provision of services to and support for people with conditions which are on the autistic spectrum. The Bill will amend the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 and require an autism strategy to be prepared.

Any organisation or individual with an interest is invited to submit written evidence to the Committee by e-mail (in the format MS Word) by Thursday 6 January 2011. The evidence should be structured to address specific clauses of the Bill.
