COMMITTEE FOR HEALTH, SOCIAL SERVICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY:
MEETING TO DISCUSS REVISED DEPARTMENTAL SPENDING PLANS
The Committee for Health, Social Services and Public Safety will hold an evidence-taking session on the revised Departmental budget on 28 January 2010.
The Minister, trade unions and the Health and Social Care Board will attend the session and give evidence on the revised expenditure plans for the years 2010-2011.
WHERE
The all day meeting in Parliament Buildings will begin at 10.00 in the Senate Chamber with evidence from the Minister. Trade union evidence will be taken at 11.00. The Health and Social Care Board will present their evidence at the afternoon session in Room 30, beginning at 15.00.
BACKGROUND
On 12 January the Finance Minister, Sammy Wilson, MLA, made a statement to the Assembly in which he announced cuts to the Health Department of £92m in current expenditure and £21.5m in net capital investment for the years 2010-2011.
