The Committee agreed to open the meeting in public at 10.59am.
  Mr Neeson assumed the Chair in the absence of the Chairperson.
1. Review of the Northern Ireland Civil Service Response to Devolution
1.1. Officials from the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment briefed the Committee on the report and answered questions raised by members.
Ms Morrice joined the meeting at 11.54pm.
2. Minutes of the Last Meeting
Agreed - the minutes of the meeting held on 25 September 2002.
3. Tourism Inquiry
3.1. The Committee discussed its overseas visit.
Agreed - the itinerary for the visit to Switzerland, Italy and France.
3.2. The Committee gave feedback on the Tourism Conference held in Omagh.
Agreed - that the Committee would consider issues arising from the two conferences and decide which organisations should be invited to give further oral evidence.
3.3. The Committee discussed the Written Submission received from the Rural Development Council.
Agreed - to exclude the maps from the Tourism Inquiry report.
4. Date of next meeting
4.1. The next meeting of the Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment will be held on
Wednesday 9 October 2002 at 10.15am in Room 144.
The meeting closed at 12.13pm.
