In attendance for a meeting at 7:00pm, a delegation from the Republic of Ireland's Central and Western Regional Fisheries Boards: Central Fisheries Board - Mr John O'Connor, Chief Executive, Mr Martin O'Grady, Senior Research Officer, Mr Trevor Champ, Senior Research Officer, and Dr Joe Caffrey; Western Regional Fisheries Board - Mr Lal Faherty, Chairman, Mr Michael Kennedy, Chief Executive, Dr Gregory Forde, Assistant Chief Executive and Mr Danny Goldrick, Angling Inspector.
In attendance for a presentation at 7:10pm on the work of the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure's Inland Fisheries Division: Ms Hazel Campbell, Head of the Division and Mr David Houston, Deputy Principal.
In attendance for a presentation at 7:30pm on the work of the Fisheries Conservancy Board: Mrs Karen Simpson, Chief Executive and Mr Brian Finn, Deputy Chief Executive.
In attendance for a presentation at 7:50pm on the work of the Loughs Agency: Mr Derick Anderson, Chief Executive.
The Chairperson opened the meeting, in private, at 7:00pm.
1. Chairperson's business
1.1. The Chairperson welcomed all present and extended a special welcome to the delegation from the Central and Western Regional Fisheries Boards.
1.2. The Chairperson thanked the Permanent Secretary for agreeing to stand in, at short notice, for the Minister.
2. Presentation by Inland Fisheries Division
2.1. Inland Fisheries Division gave a presentation on the work of the Division and advised that the report on the Review of Licences/Permit Structure had been completed and submitted to the Department, which will consult with the Committee in due course.
3. Presentation by Fisheries Conservancy Board
3.1. The Fisheries Conservancy Board gave a presentation on the work of the Board.
4. Presentation by the Loughs Agency
4.1. The Loughs Agency gave a presentation on the work of the Agency.
The Chairperson brought the meeting to a close at 8:10pm.
