CULTURE, ARTS AND LEISURE COMMITTEE TO MEET IN ULSTER FOLK AND TRANSPORT MUSEUM
The Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will hold a meeting in Cultra Manor, Ulster Folk and Transport Museum on Thursday 26 June 2008 at 10.00 a.m where they will receive a presentation from Young at Art. The Committee also hopes to be able to hear oral evidence on the Inquiry into the development of a museums policy for Northern Ireland. Following the meeting, the Committee will tour the Transport Museum.
Mr Barry McElduff MLA, the Committee Chairperson said:
“The Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure is pleased to hold this meeting in a location outside Stormont, Parliament Building and is looking forward to the visit to the award winning Transport Museum which houses one of the largest and most comprehensive transport collections in Europe”.
“The Committee recognises the importance of this cultural, educational and tourist facility and its value in preserving a record of heritage, life and traditions”.
