CAL COMMITTEE VISITS BEAM CREATIVE NETWORK
The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will be visiting the BEAM Creative Network Centre, Donaghmore tomorrow (Thursday 21 October).
During the visit, the Committee will receive briefings from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure on cultural diversity and from a Joint Committee of representatives from Pobal, Ultach Trust and an tÁisaonad on the Irish language strategy.
Carntogher Community Association will brief the Committee on its range of economic, social, cultural, and environmental projects which are aimed at developing a prosperous and environmental sustainable rural community.
In addition the Committee will consider the draft Terms of Reference for its Inquiry into Arms Length Bodies, agree a Committee response to DCAL’s spending and savings proposals, and consider the OFMDFM consultation on Cohesion, Sharing and Integration.
The Committee will be in public session from 10.45am and will have a tour of the facilities at 1.30pm. Members of the public and the media are welcome to attend the meeting.
