2. Meeting with the Minister, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Sport NI to discuss budgetary issues
The following representatives from the Department of Culture, Arts and Leisure, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and Sport NI joined the meeting:

Ms Noírín McKinney (Director of Arts Development)
Ms Lorraine McDowell (Director of Operations)
Mr Nick Harkness (Finance Manager of Sport NI)
Agreed – the Committee agreed to invite Mr Colin Watson – Head of Museums Branch to attend a future committee meeting to discuss the issue of departmental funding to the Ulster Historical Foundation.
The Minister agreed to forward the Committee further information in relation to a number of issues relating to the current ARNE funding formula.
Sport NI agreed to provide a breakdown of the 18 Stadia Safety projects across the three main sports ie GAA, Rugby and Football
Mr Shannon joined the meeting at 4.31pm
Mr McCausland left the meeting at 4.34pm
Mr McCausland rejoined the meeting at 4.37pm
The meeting was suspended at 5.10pm
Mr Shannon left the meeting at 5.10pm
The meeting was reconvened at 5.23pm
Mr Brolly joined the meeting at 5.23pm
The Arts Council agreed to keep the Committee informed of progress on the Creativity Industries Seed Fund.
Agreed – the Committee agreed to discuss holding similar type subjects meetings with the Minister.
3. Date and time of the next meeting
The next meeting of the Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will be on Thursday 15 May at 10.30am in Room 152.
The Deputy Chairperson adjourned the meeting at 5.41pm.
