1. Apologies

2. Draft Minutes of 28 May 2009
Agreed: The draft minutes of the meeting held on 28 May 2009 were agreed.
1.06 p.m. Mr Shannon joined the meeting .
3 . Departmental briefing on June monitoring round
The Committee noted the response from the Minister on Stadia Development and the Sports Budget.
The Committee noted the departmental briefing paper on June monitoring.
The following departmental officials joined the meeting:
Deborah Brown (Director of Finance)
Linda Wilson (Director of Culture)
Colin Watson (Deputy for Acting Director of Sports and Recreation)
The officials briefed the Committee on June monitoring. This was followed by a question and answer session.
Agreed : The Committee agreed to write to the Department on a number of issues raised during the briefing session.
1.35 p.m. Mr Bradley left the meeting.
1.53 p.m. Mr McCarthy left the meeting.
1.58 p.m. Mr McCausland left the meeting.
4. Forward Work Programme
The Committee noted the Forward Work Programme.
The Chairperson advised that an additional meeting has been organized for 23 June 2009 to discuss the draft report on the Committee Review of the NI Events Company and other arms lengths bodies.

There was no other business.
6. Date and time of the next meeting
The next meeting of the Committee for Culture, Arts and Leisure will be Thursday 18 June 2009 at 10.30 a.m. in the Sports Institute, Jordanstown.
