2. Approval of draft minutes of previous proceedings
The minutes were agreed and signed by the Chairperson.
3. Matters arising
Members queried the need for detailed recording of members leaving and returning to meetings. The Chairperson informed members that he had asked for it to be included on the agenda for the next Chairpersons' Liaison Group.
The Committee debated the draft response on the specific aspects of the draft Programme for Government within its Terms of Reference. Amendments were suggested and agreed and the amended response will be forwarded to the Office of the First Minister and Deputy First Minister (OFMDFM). Action: Clerk
The Committee debated the draft response on the Equality Impact Assessment of the Programme for Government. Members suggested amendments which were agreed and the amended response will be forwarded to Junior Ministers, OFMDFM. Action: Clerk
4. Evidence session with officials from the OFMDFM on the role of the New Targeting Social Need (TSN) Unit
Evidence on the role of the New TSN Unit of OFMDFM was taken from Mr Tony Canavan and Ms Maggie Smith.

5. Evidence session with officials from Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency
Evidence was taken from Mr Edgar Jardine and Mr Robert Beatty on research work to establish a new set of multiple deprivation indicators.

The Committee agreed to commence future meetings at 2.00pm.
