ALL PARTY NOTICES
9 SEPTEMBER 2008
APN 2-08/09
Access to the main Chamber
Members will wish to be aware that, following the refurbishment of the main Chamber during the summer recess, the access arrangements have been changed. Level access has been provided at the main entrance and via the doors either side of the Speaker’s table (formerly used to access the Officials’ Boxes). Members are requested to enter and leave by these doors or via the Division Lobbies and not to use the doors behind the Speaker’s table.
Broadcasting
New speakers, microphones and high definition cameras have been installed in the Chamber. To take full advantage of the new equipment Members should ensure that they address their remarks towards the Speaker. Speaking away from the microphones means that Members may not be picked up clearly and the media will be unable to use the material for broadcasting; additionally, the camera angles are preset to film Members looking towards the Speaker.
Members are invited to view the Chamber on Wednesday 10 th and Thursday 11 th September from 10am to noon when staff from Properties Directorate and Assembly Broadcasting will be on hand to highlight the changes that have been made.
