NORTHERN IRELAND ASSEMBLY

ALL PARTY NOTICES

MEMBERS’ EVENT BOOKINGS - IMPORTANT NOTICE

This is a reminder of the requirement, introduced on 6 March 2008, whereby all Members’ event applications must have 3 MLA signatories reflecting cross-community support.  Procedure requires that the completed application form, bearing the 3 signatures, be received by the Events Office within 7 days of the provisional booking.

It is the responsibility of the primary sponsor to ensure completed forms are with the Events Office within the 7-day dead line. Non-receipt of forms within that timescale can give rise to operational and planning difficulties as the Events team cannot be sure whether a planned event has the requisite support to go ahead. This will impact on planning for catering, staffing numbers etc.

Where the completed application form has not been received within the 7-day deadline, the reservation will be considered lapsed and the booking slot made available to others.

Members’ cooperation on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

If you have any queries please contact:  Dermot MacGreevy, Tel (905) 21172
