The Committee agreed the Minutes of the meeting of 10 November 2009.

The Committee noted the correspondence issued since the meeting of 10 November 2009.

4. Presentation – DARD – Farm Nutrient Management Scheme
The Committee noted the deferral of this item as the appropriate departmental official was not available. Members indicated that the departmental official should present to the Committee on the above as soon as possible.
Thomas Burns rejoined the meeting at 12.44pm
5. Presentation – Canine Breeders Ireland – Briefing on their work
David Hamilton, Jonathan Hamilton, Michael McKay and Gerry Smyth, representatives of Canine Breeders Ireland, joined the meeting at 12.45pm and presented to Committee in respect of the above. Following the presentation, Members put questions.
Jim Shannon joined the meeting at 12.46pm
Francie Molloy left the meeting at 1.24pm
The representatives left the meeting at 1.33pm
6. SL1: The Diseases of Animals (Importation of Machinery and Vehicles) Order ( Northern Ireland) 2009
The Committee agreed to defer this item until the meeting of the 24 November 2009.
7. SR: The Wine Regulations ( Northern Ireland) 2009
Dr William McCrea abstained on this item.
That the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has considered the Wine Regulations ( Northern Ireland) 2009 and has no objection to the Rule.
8. SR: The Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (Amendment) Regulations ( Northern Ireland) 2009
That the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has considered the Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies (Amendment) Regulations ( Northern Ireland) 2009 and has no objection to the Rule.
William Irwin left the meeting at 1.34pm

The Committee agreed to defer this item until the meeting of the 24 November 2009
