3. Presentation – DARD – Animal Welfare Bill
Colette McMaster, Kate Davey, Paddy McGuckian and Andrew Kell, departmental officials, joined the meeting at 1.52pm and presented to Committee in respect of the above. Following the presentation, Members put questions.

5. Presentation – Lough Neagh Partnership – Funding Issues
Jim Canning and Gerry Darby, representatives of the Lough Neagh Partnership, joined the meeting at 2.56pm and presented to Committee in respect of the above. Following the presentation, Members put questions.

6. Presentation – DARD – Marine Strategy Framework Directive
Paddy Campbell and Matt Service, departmental officials, joined the meeting at 3.53pm and presented to Committee in respect the above. Following the presentation, Members put questions. The Committee agreed that officials should present to Committee when a detailed analysis of consultation responses has been undertaken.

7. SR: The Agriculture (Student Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009
That the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has considered the Agriculture (Student Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 and has no objection to the Rule
8. SR: The Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009
That the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has considered the Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 and has no objection to the Rule
9. SR: The Zoonoses and Animal By-Products (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009
That the Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has considered the Zoonoses and Animal By-Products (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009 and has no objection to the Rule.

10. Presentation – Ulster Farmers’ Union – TSE (Amendment) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2009
Wesley Aston and John Thompson, representatives of UFU, joined the meeting at 4.24pm and presented to Committee in respect the above. Following the presentation, Members put questions. The Committee agreed to propose at the next Committee meeting of 20 October 2009 that the above mentioned legislation should proceed to the next stage.

Brian Ervine and Siobhan Bowers, departmental officials, joined the meeting at 4.35pm and presented to Committee in respect the above. Following the presentation, Members put questions.

12. Pre-consultation: Control of Salmonella in Turkey Flocks Scheme Order 2010
The Committee agreed that officials should present to Committee when a detailed analysis of responses has been undertaken.
