Agreed: The Committee agreed that the Clerk would write to the Department regarding Botulism Supply.

4. Presentations: DARD February Monitoring Round

The following officials joined the meeting:

Shaun Donnelly - Acting Grade 5 - Assistant Secretary.

5. Presentation: DARD Single Farm Payments

The following officials joined the meeting:

Malcolm Beatty - Grade 5 - Assistant Secretary;

Bregeen Glendinning - Grade 7, Principal Officer; and

Richard Crowe - Grade 7 - Agriculture Inspector Grade I.

The witnesses presented to Committee in respect of the above.

6. NI Assembly Research – Rural Housing Issues

The following Assembly Researchers joined the meeting:

Agreed: The Committee agreed to write to the Department of Social Development through the Committee for Social Development on a number of issues raised.

7. Pre-consultation: EU Thematic Strategy for Pesticides

Agreed: The Committee agreed that it was content that this matter should move to consultation stage, provided that the Department returns with a detailed analysis of consultation responses.

8. SL1: The Plant Health (Amendment) Order (NI) 2010

Agreed: Members agreed that the Plant Health (Amendment) Order (NI) 2010 should progress to the next legislative stage

9. SR 417/2010: The Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (Amendment) Regulations (NI) 2010

Agreed: The Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has considered the Products of Animal Origin (Third Country Imports) (Amendment) Regulations (NI) 2010 and has no objection to the rule.

10. SR 418/2010: The Less Favoured Area Compensatory Allowances (No.2) Regulations (NI) 2010

Agreed: The Committee for Agriculture and Rural Development has considered the Less Favoured Area Compensatory Allowances (No.2) Regulations (NI) 2010 and has no objection to the rule.
