Committee Talk To British Bankers Over Support For Small Business |

Two Assembly Committees will join forces today to quiz the Executive Director of the British Bankers Association, Eric Leenders on how banks work with local businesses. This meeting follows a previous joint meeting of the Finance and Personnel and Enterprise, Trade and Investment Committees where MLAs probed the local banks on their lending practices. Both Committees have been concerned over whether local banks are giving enough support to the vital small and medium sized businesses that make up a majority of business activity in Northern Ireland and which are crucial to the local economy. |
