With Christmas just around the corner, Parliament Buildings is a hive of activity with events and activities reaching a seasonal high.

Monday sees the Assembly debate changes to how MLAs pay and allowances are determined. The Ministers of Culture, Arts and Leisure and Education are in the spotlight for Assembly question time on Tuesday, and Wednesday sees an extra plenary sitting which starts at 10.30am.

Support for local businesses will be highlighted in an Ulster Bank briefing to the Assembly and Business Trust members at their monthly breakfast meeting on Tuesday. Later that evening, members of the Antrim Camogie Team will celebrate their successes of 2010.

Visit Parliament Buildings on Wednesday and Thursday, and you’ll hear the wonderful sound of Christmas carols echo around the corridors. The Royal National Institute for Deaf People will hold its Christmas Carol Service in the Great Hall on Wednesday evening, followed by the Assembly’s Carol Service on Thursday afternoon.
