Proceedings of the Regional Development Committee

At 10.00am Members of the Committee visited the Forked Bridge Water Treatment Works, Lisburn with the Minister for Regional Development. The Members also inspected the ongoing work at Lagmore Conduit. The visit finished at 12.00 o'clock. The Members who participated in the visit were:

The Committee meeting commenced at 12.50pm following the visit to the Forked Bridge Water Treatment Works, Lisburn.

1. Minutes of last meeting

The minutes of the meeting held on 13 September 2000 were agreed.

2. Matters arising

  1. Farm Land Planning Easement Scheme.
  2. Mr McFarland joined the meeting at 12.52pm.

    The Committee considered the Department's response.

    Agreed: That the Department's comments would be passed to Mr Ian Paisley Jnr. MLA.

  3. Safety at Road Races.
  4. The Committee noted the response from the Assembly's Legal Adviser.

3. Statutory Rules.

The Committee noted the Statutory Rules which the Department intends to make.

The Committee will visit the Northern Ireland Transport Holding Company on 27 September 2000. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday 4 October 2000 at 10.30pm. in room 135 Parliament Buildings.
