2.1 Statement - British-Irish Council Environment Sectoral Meeting

The Minister of the Environment, Mr Edwin Poots, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the British-Irish Council Environment Sectoral meeting, held on 25 February 2011 in Newport, Wales, following which he replied to questions.

2.2 Final Stage - Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill (NIA Bill 31/09)

The Minister of the Environment, Mr Edwin Poots, moved that the Final Stage of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill (NIA Bill 31/09) do now pass.

Debate ensued.

The Deputy Speaker (Mr Dallat) took the Chair.

NIA Bill 31/09 passed Final Stage.

2.3 Final Stage - Housing (Amendment) Bill (NIA Bill 32/09)

The Minister for Social Development, Mr Alex Attwood, moved that the Final Stage of the Housing (Amendment) Bill (NIA Bill 32/09) do now pass.

Debate ensued.

NIA Bill 32/09 passed Final Stage.

2.6 Motion - Legislative Consent Motion - Energy Bill

Proposed:

That this Assembly agrees that the UK Parliament should consider amendments to the Energy Bill to provide powers for the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Investment to establish a scheme to facilitate and encourage renewable generation of heat, including the administration and financing of the scheme.
