The Assembly met at 10.30am, the Speaker in the Chair.

1. Personal Prayer or Meditation

Members observed two minutes’ silence.

2. Speaker’s Business

2.1 The Speaker informed Members that he had received a letter from Dr William McCrea resigning as a Member of the Assembly, with effect from Thursday 1 July. The Speaker advised that he had notified the Chief Electoral Officer, in accordance with section 35 of the Northern Ireland Act 1998.

3. Executive Committee Business

3.1 Statement - British-Irish Council Summit Meeting
The First Minister, the Rt Hon Peter Robinson, made a statement to the Assembly regarding the British-Irish Council Summit meeting, held in Guernsey on 25 June 2010, following which he replied to questions.

3.2 Second Stage - Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill (NIA 31/09)
The Minister of the Environment, Mr Edwin Poots, moved the Second Stage of the Clean Neighbourhoods and Environment Bill (NIA 31/09).
The Deputy Speaker (Mr McClarty) took the Chair.
Debate ensued.
The Deputy Speaker (Mr Molloy) took the Chair.
Bill (NIA 31/09) passed Second Stage.

3.3 Second Stage - Housing (Amendment) (No.2) Bill (NIA 32/09)
The Minister for Social Development, Mr Alex Attwood, moved the Second Stage of the Housing (Amendment) (No.2) Bill (NIA 32/09).
Debate ensued.
The Deputy Speaker (Mr McClarty) took the Chair.
Bill (NIA 32/09) passed Second Stage.

3.4 Final Stage - Welfare Reform Bill (NIA 13/09)
The Minister for Social Development, Mr Alex Attwood, moved that the Final Stage of the Welfare Reform Bill (NIA 13/09) do now pass.
Debate ensued.

4. Private Members’ Business

4.1 First Stage - Victims and Survivors (Disqualification) Bill
Mr Peter Weir advised the House that the Victims and Survivors (Disqualification) Bill would not be introduced until Autumn 2010.

5. Adjournment

Mr Dominic Bradley spoke to his topic on the murder of the Reavey family in Whitecross, Co. Armagh on 4 January 1976.
