SAFEGUARDING BOARDS BILL

PUBLIC NOTICE

 

The Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Health, Social Services and Public Safety is beginning the Committee Stage of the above Bill.

The purpose of the Bill is to provide a legislative framework to establish the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland. The purpose of the Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland is to co-ordinate and ensure the effectiveness of all organisations involved with children. The Safeguarding Board for Northern Ireland will promote the welfare of children.

Any organisation or individual with an interest is invited to submit written evidence to the Committee by e-mail (in the format MS Word)

by 30 July 2010.
