2. Chairperson’s Business.
The Chairperson welcomed Mr Tommy Gallagher back to the Committee and Mrs Mary Bradley to her first Committee meeting. The Committee noted their declaration of interests.
3. Briefing from the Minister for Health, Social Services & Public Safety on revised expenditure plans.

The Committee were briefed by the Minister on the Departments revised expenditure plans.
The Committee agreed to adjourn the evidence session to consider briefing papers provided by the Department.
1.56 p.m. Mr Thomas Buchanan joined the meeting
The Committee discussed the Ministers briefing and noted that no papers had been provided until the middle of the meeting. The Committee agreed to adjourn the meeting until 3.00p.m.
It was agreed that the Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson would meet privately with the Minister.
2.06 p.m. Meeting adjourned.
2.06 p.m. Mrs Mary Bradley left the meeting.
2.59 p.m. Meeting resumed.
3.03 p.m. Ms Sue Ramsey rejoined the meeting.
3.06 p.m. Mr Tommy Gallagher rejoined the meeting.
3.11 p.m. Mr John McCallister rejoined the meeting.
The Chairperson and Deputy Chairperson briefed the Committee on their meeting with the Minister.
3.18 p.m. Briefing from the Minister resumed.
A question and answer session ensued. The Chairperson thanked the Minister and his team for attending. The Minister agreed to provide the Committee with additional information by 26 th May 2010.
The Committee agreed to seek legal advice on the provision of information to the Committee by the Department.
3.25 p.m. Ms Sue Ramsey left the meeting.
3.45 p.m. Mr Alex Easton left the meeting.
4. Date, time and place of the next meeting
The next meetings of the Committee will take place on Thursday, 27 th May 2010 at 2.00pm in the Room 30, Parliament Buildings.
The Chairperson adjourned the meeting at 3.59 p.m.
