COMMITTEE FOR ENTERPRISE, TRADE AND INVESTMENT16 February 2011ASSEMBLY COMMITTEE TO HOST EVENT ON RENEWABLE ENERGYThe Northern Ireland Assembly Committee for Enterprise, Trade and Investment is to hold a special event on Thursday 17 February 2011 for the business and energy sector. The event has been organised to coincide with the release of the Committee’s report into Barriers to the Development of Renewable Energy Production in Northern Ireland. Details Venue: Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings Background The Committee for Enterprise Trade and Investment held a workshop on Renewable Energy in May 2010. In response to the range and complexity of issues and problems raised during the course of the workshop the Committee considered it appropriate to conduct an Inquiry. The Committee began its Inquiry into the barriers to development of renewable energy production in Northern Ireland in June 2010. It introduced its report to Plenary on Monday 14 February 2011.
