The Committee met at 12 .25 p.m. in private session.
1. Minutes of the Meeting of 11 September 2001
The minutes of the meeting of 11 September 2001 were agreed.
2. Consideration of the initial draft Report on the Review of Post-Primary Education
Mr McElduff joined the meeting at 12.35 a.m., Mrs Bell and Mrs Lewsley joined the meeting at 12.45 p.m. and Mr Hamilton joined the meeting at 12.50 p.m.
The Committee considered a draft Report on the Review of Post-Primary Education and agreed a number of amendments to the wording and additional sections to be drafted. The Committee also agreed that any further amendments would be submitted to the Clerk for consideration at the next meeting.
Mrs Bell and Mr Gibson left the meeting at 1.00 p.m., Mrs Lewsley left the meeting at 1.20 p.m. and Mr Wilson left the meeting at 1.25 p.m.
3. Date and time of next meeting
The Committee agreed that a meeting to progress the draft report further should be arranged as soon as possible. The next meeting of the Committee will take place on Thursday 20 September at 10.15 a.m. in Room 135 Parliament Buildings.
The meeting closed at 1.30 p.m.
