2.14 p.m. The meeting opened in public session.
1. Apologies
Mrs Naomi Long (Deputy Chairperson), Mr Barry McElduff, Mrs Dolores Kelly, Mr Ian McCrea, Mr Stephen Moutray and Mr Jimmy Spratt.
2. Chairperson’s Business
The Chairperson welcomed Mrs Johnston to the Committee Secretariat and thanked Mr Quinn for his work during his time in the Secretariat.
The Chairperson advised members that he, Mrs Long, Mr Molloy and Mr McElduff met with representatives of the Parliament of Catalonia in Barcelona and had a series of useful informative meetings. He further advised that a report of the visit would issue in due course.
3. June Monitoring Round – Departmental Briefing
2.18 p.m. Mrs Jackie Kerr from OFMDFM joined the meeting .
Mrs Jackie Kerr briefed the Committee on the June Monitoring Round. During the briefing Mrs Kerr undertook to provide further information. This was followed by a question and answer session.
3.00 p.m. Mrs Jackie Kerr left the meeting .
4. Date of next meeting
The next meeting will be held in Room 144 on Wednesday 10 June 2009.
