4 February 2011 APN 30 – 10/11 ALL PARTY NOTICESARRANGEMENTS FOR BOOKING FUNCTIONS AND TOURS AFTER 24 MARCH 2011Following a number of applications for events after 24 March 2011, the Assembly Commission has considered arrangements for booking functions and tours for the period of dissolution and beyond. The agreed arrangements are: From 24 March 2011 to 6 May 2011No private bookings will be taken for this period. Bookings will, however, be considered from Members acting in an official capacity as defined by regulation i.e. The Speaker, Deputy Speakers, Ministers and Commission Members acting on behalf of the Commission. Beyond 6 May 2011Members standing for re-election to the next Assembly may, in a private capacity and in anticipation of being re-elected, book functions and tours for dates after 6 May 2011. Such bookings will be accepted on the clear understanding that if the sponsoring Member is not re-elected the booking will be considered cancelled. In this scenario, the booking can be secured provided the organisation / group arranging the event obtains early sponsorship from a Member of the newly elected Assembly. |
