Media Operational Notice16 February 2011NORTHERN IRELAND ASSEMBLY AND BUSINESS TRUST ANNUAL PRESIDENT’S DINNER.The Speaker of the Northern Ireland Assembly and President of the Northern Ireland Assembly and Business Trust (NIABT), William Hay MLA will host the annual NIABT President’s Dinner tomorrow (Thursday 17 February) in Parliament Buildings, Belfast. The Dinner will bring together business leaders and MLAs to look at ways in which the Assembly can work together better. The Guest Speaker at this year’s event will be the Minister for Finance and Personnel, Sammy Wilson MP MLA. Venue:The Long Gallery, Parliament Buildings Date:Thursday, 17 February 2011 Time: 6.30pm – 9pm Background Information: The NIABT was established in 2002. An independent and self-financing educational charity, its focus is to foster development and promote Northern Ireland. NIABT brings together Assembly Members and the business sector to further its aims. NIABT’s work is underpinned by a programme of seminars, visits and fellowship placements that bring together MLAs and business representatives. Programmes are non-partisan, non-lobbying, educational and informative. NIABT is modelled on similar schemes in other legislatures, for example Westminster’s Industry & Parliament Trust.
